Ambiance 10/10

Black Sheep is perfect for any occasion, from a romantic dinner to a celebration with friends. The restaurant is housed in a beautifully renovated barn, with exposed beams and chandeliers creating a cozy and inviting atmosphere.

Servitor 8.5/10

Our server was sweet and attentive, giving us plenty of time to order and checking in regularly to see if we needed anything. The only minor complaint is that there was no way to call our server directly, so we had to flag down a server from another table a few times to add a dish or ask a question.

Food 10/10

We ordered four dishes and two cocktails between the two of us, and none of them disappointed. For starters, we shared the truffle fries and grilled fish tacos. The truffle fries were perfectly crispy and topped with a generous amount of aged cheddar truffle cheese. The fish tacos were made with tilapia that melted in the mouth, and the mango chutney and pepper slaw added a burst of flavor.

The restaurant also serves a complimentary basket of freshly baked sourdough bread with housemade cream cheese. The bread was moist and delicious, and the cream cheese was perfectly smooth and flavorful.

For our entrees, my husband ordered the roasted half chicken, which is a Peruvian-style dish served with fried yucca, chaufa rice, creamy green salsa, and a Peruvian aioli. The chicken was perfectly cooked and fell off the bone easily. The sauces added a tangy and creamy flavor to the chicken.

I ordered the miso sake sea bass, which was one of the best dishes I’ve ever had. The fish was perfectly glazed and the coconut-flavored rice was a perfect complement. It takes real skill to deliver such consistently high-quality food, and I’m impressed with the chef at Black Sheep.

For dessert, we shared the baked alaska, which is a chocolate brownie with vanilla ice cream topped with toffee-flavored meringue. The server torched the meringue at the table, which added a special touch.

Price: 9/10

Good food and ambiance come at a price, and Black Sheep is no exception. We paid $170 for our dinner, including tip. While it’s not a cheap meal, it’s definitely worth it for a special occasion.

Overall: 9.5/10

Black Sheep Restaurant is a must-visit for anyone looking for a delicious and memorable dining experience. The ambiance is warm and inviting, the service is excellent, and the food is simply superb. I highly recommend the roasted half chicken and the miso sake sea bass, but everything we tried was delicious. If you’re looking for a special place to celebrate or simply treat yourself, Black Sheep is the perfect choice.
